The news is one of instant joy as people far and wide begin to celebrate. Darken Rahl may be dead and gone, rotting in the Underwold but a new evil has taken his place, one that is stronger than the previous ruler. With the destruction of the Boxes of Ordon, a rip in the veil has formed allowing the Keeper to send creatures from the Underworld into that of the living. Now Richard and his companions are to find the Stone of Tears if they have any hope of fixing the veil before the Keeper takes them all.
